After a basic and extra friendly inquiry on the Yeshivah, the Rebbe said:

“[Many] chasidisheh seforim write an implication on the words [of Rashi] ויקרא,כא א) להזהיר גדולים על הקטנים)    (lit. to appoint the bigger ones to guard the smaller ones, referring to the כהנים regarding the הלכות of טהרה) that the person should make sure that the days of חנוכה which are great days, should impact the days of טבת and שבט which are more difficult days.

(now the Rebbe tells us some of the qualities of חנוכה, that we should take with us during the month of טבת and שבט, and later also.)

In חנוכה there is an ענין of מוסיף והולך (adding constantly reg. the candles) and מעלין בקודש (increasing the holiness.  Both terms מעלין בקודש and מוסיף והולך are expressions of the גמרא שבת כא ע”ב regarding the increasing of the amount of חנוכה candles each night of חנוכה (מוסיף והולך refers to עשה טוב and מעלין בקדש refers to סור מרע , because קדושה means guarding oneself from sin, as we see that Rashi interprets the words קדושים תהיו  (ויקרא, יט ב)” הוו פרושים מן העריות ומן העבירות” be departed from foreign women and from a transgression, showing us that we have to increase both in עשה טוב and סור מרע.

If we are talking about חנוכה we could add, that in חנוכה there is an ענין of אלא לראותם בלבד (to look on the candles) showing us that we have to guard and sanctify our eyes.
